Alma 26: 5-7

How have you found shelter in Jesus Christ and His gospel during storms in your life?

"Behold, the field was ripe, and blessed are ye, for ye did thrust in the sickle, and did reap with your might, yea, all the day long did ye labor; and behold the number of your sheaves! And they shall be gathered into the garners, that they are not wasted.

Yea, they shall not be beaten down by the storm at the last day; yea, neither shall they be harrowed up by the whirlwinds; but when the storm cometh they shall be gathered together in their place, that the storm cannot penetrate to them; yea, neither shall they be driven with fierce winds whithersoever the enemy listeth to carry them.

But behold, they are in the hands of the Lord of the harvest, and they are his; and he will raise them up at the last day." (Alma 26: 5-7)

And here's the commentary entitled: "I can find shelter in Jesus Christ and His gospel." :

"At harvest time, grain is often gathered into bundles called sheaves and placed in storehouses, sometimes called garners. In Alma 26:5–7 ponder what the sheaves, garners, and storm might represent in your life. How do you find shelter in Jesus Christ?

I find shelter in Jesus Christ during times when storms of life are coming to potentially beat me down in different areas of life--spiritually, mentally, socially, physically, financially. I'm so grateful that I am anchored to my Savior. He is my rock, my foundation that keep my house strong and still standing even when heavy rainfall, floods or storms come into my life. Thoughts of what He went through would come to my mind when I am going through a situation and that would help me rise above the challenge. He's also been blessing me abundantly with miracles that would prevent troubles from happening. The Lord is truly in the details and the details and the details and in the details of my life!
