What does it mean to you to have Jesus Christ as your King?
"53 And the Lord said: Blessed is he through whose seed Messiah shall come; for he saith—I am Messiah, the King of Zion, the Rock of Heaven, which is broad as eternity; whoso cometh in at the gate and climbeth up by me shall never fall; wherefore, blessed are they of whom I have spoken, for they shall come forth with songs of everlasting joy." (Moses 7:53)
And here's the commentary entitled: "Jesus Christ is “the King of Zion.” :
"What does it mean to you to have Jesus Christ as your King? Note the other titles of Jesus Christ in this verse. What do they teach you about Him? What do you think it means to come “in at the gate and [climb] up by [Him]”?
See also “Come, O Thou King of Kings,” Hymns, no. 59."
To have Jesus as my King means He is the supreme ruler of my whole soul—my spirit, my physical body, and every fiber of my being. I adore Him, and I am striving to align all of me to His will.
I think to come “in at the gate and [climb] up by [Him]” means to come in God's kingdom not by any other way but by His power and authority, and progress towards reaching our fully potential and becoming, more like Him and like our Heavenly Father just as He did—line upon line, precept upon precept.
