Doctrine and Covenants 18: 10-13;

How does it make you feel knowing that the worth of souls is great in the sight of God?

"10 Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;

11 For, behold, the Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him.

12 And he hath risen again from the dead, that he might bring all men unto him, on conditions of repentance.

13 And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth!" (Doctrine and Covenants 18: 10-13)

And here's the beginning part of the commentary entitled: “The worth of souls is great in the sight of God.” :

"How do we determine the worth of something? For example, why is one item at a market more expensive than another? As you read section 18 this week, especially verses 10–13, you might contrast how people often determine value with what makes a soul valuable in God’s eyes. Consider substituting your name in place of the words “soul,” “souls,” and “all men.” How could these verses help someone who questions his or her worth?"

I'm so grateful to know that in the eyes of God, every soul is of infinite value and has the potential to become more like Him being His child. He sent His Only Begotten Son to redeem all men from the effects of the fall. Jesus Christ suffered, died, and has risen again from the dead for you and for me. Our sins can be forgiven when we repent because Jesus paid the penalty for them. With His stripes we are healed. If you are questioning your worth, read, ponder, and remember the message in verses 10–13.
