Doctrine and Covenants 110: 10-16

How is the Savior pouring out unto me and my family a lot of blessings through the work directed by the priesthood keys?

"10 And the fame of this house shall spread to foreign lands; and this is the beginning of the blessing which shall be poured out upon the heads of my people. Even so. Amen.

11 After this vision closed, the heavens were again opened unto us; and Moses appeared before us, and committed unto us the keys of the gathering of Israel from the four parts of the earth, and the leading of the ten tribes from the land of the north.

12 After this, Elias appeared, and committed the dispensation of the gospel of Abraham, saying that in us and our seed all generations after us should be blessed.

13 After this vision had closed, another great and glorious vision burst upon us; for Elijah the prophet, who was taken to heaven without tasting death, stood before us, and said:

14 Behold, the time has fully come, which was spoken of by the mouth of Malachi—testifying that he [Elijah] should be sent, before the great and dreadful day of the Lord come—

15 To turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers, lest the whole earth be smitten with a curse—

16 Therefore, the keys of this dispensation are committed into your hands; and by this ye may know that the great and dreadful day of the Lord is near, even at the doors." (Doctrine and Covenants 110: 10-16)

And here's the beginning part of the commentary entitled: "The Savior directs His work through priesthood keys." : 

"Just before Moses, Elias, and Elijah appeared in the temple to restore priesthood keys, Jesus Christ said, “This is the beginning of the blessing which shall be poured out upon the heads of my people” (Doctrine and Covenants 110:10). As you read verses 11–16, think about the blessings that the Savior is pouring out on you through the work directed by these keys. For example:

• Verse 11: Moses and the keys of the gathering of Israel (or missionary work). How has the Lord blessed you and your family through the missionary efforts of His Church?

• Verse 12: Elias and the keys of the gospel of Abraham, including the Abrahamic covenant. How could the Lord bless you and the “generations after [you]” because of your covenants? (See Russell M. • Verses 13–16: Elijah and the sealing power, manifested through temple and family history work. Why do you think Heavenly Father wants you to be connected to your ancestors through temple ordinances? (See Gerrit W. Gong, “Happy and Forever,” Liahona, Nov. 2022, 83–86.)"

The Savior has been pouring out unto me and my family a lot of blessings through the work directed by the priesthood keys. Through the missionary efforts of His Church, my own father was able to hear, accept the gospel of Jesus Christ and got baptized a member of His Church. And my mother's heart was touched by the spirit, seeing the impact of the gospel in my father's life, and so she also decided to listen to the message of the missionaries and eventually got baptized as well. They only got two children at that time, my big sister and myself. Five more children came, and everyone was also baptized in the Church. And now after about five decades, my father already passed away, and yet his legacy continues as his grandchildren also embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our life as a family is full of meaning because of our membership in His Church. We're able to find peace and joy in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in. I'm so grateful for my father's legacy. I'm grateful for the opportunity I've been given to repent, be baptized, and enter into covenants with God as a member of His Church. As I strive to keep my covenants, I'm able to transform and become more like my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. The Lord has been blessing me with power from on high because of my covenants. He's also blessing the generations after me with power from on high. 

I'm so grateful for the privilege and opportunity to do temple and family history work for my anscestors. I've been able to do this regularly now than ever before because we already have a temple here in Thailand. Having a Temple here in Thailand for two years now has been such a great blessing. Heavenly Father wants me to be connected to my ancestors through temple ordinances because He wants our family to be together forever in His kingdom.
