Doctrine and Covenants 46: 1-7; 2 Nephi 26: 24-28; 3 Nephi 18: 22-23; Moroni 6: 5-9

How does the Savior welcome all who want to worship in His Church?

"Hearken, O ye people of my church; for verily I say unto you that these things were spoken unto you for your profit and learning.

But notwithstanding those things which are written, it always has been given to the elders of my church from the beginning, and ever shall be, to conduct all meetings as they are directed and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Nevertheless ye are commanded never to cast any one out from your public meetings, which are held before the world.

Ye are also commanded not to cast any one who belongeth to the church out of your sacrament meetings; nevertheless, if any have trespassed, let him not partake until he makes reconciliation.

And again I say unto you, ye shall not cast any out of your sacrament meetings who are earnestly seeking the kingdom—I speak this concerning those who are not of the church.

And again I say unto you, concerning your confirmation meetings, that if there be any that are not of the church, that are earnestly seeking after the kingdom, ye shall not cast them out.

But ye are commanded in all things to ask of God, who giveth liberally; and that which the Spirit testifies unto you even so I would that ye should do in all holiness of heart, walking uprightly before me, considering the end of your salvation, doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving, that ye may not be seduced by evil spirits, or doctrines of devils, or the commandments of men; for some are of men, and others of devils." (Doctrine and Covenants 46: 1-7)

"24 He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.

25 Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price.

26 Behold, hath he commanded any that they should depart out of the synagogues, or out of the houses of worship? Behold, I say unto you, Nay.

27 Hath he commanded any that they should not partake of his salvation? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but he hath given it free for all men; and he hath commanded his people that they should persuade all men to repentance.

28 Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they should not partake of his goodness? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but all men are privileged the one like unto the other, and none are forbidden." (2 Nephi 26: 24-28)

"22 And behold, ye shall meet together oft; and ye shall not forbid any man from coming unto you when ye shall meet together, but suffer them that they may come unto you and forbid them not;

23 But ye shall pray for them, and shall not cast them out; and if it so be that they come unto you oft ye shall pray for them unto the Father, in my name." (3 Nephi 18: 22-23)

"And the church did meet together oft, to fast and to pray, and to speak one with another concerning the welfare of their souls.

And they did meet together oft to partake of bread and wine, in remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

And they were strict to observe that there should be no iniquity among them; and whoso was found to commit iniquity, and three witnesses of the church did condemn them before the elders, and if they repented not, and confessed not, their names were blotted out, and they were not numbered among the people of Christ.

But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven.

And their meetings were conducted by the church after the manner of the workings of the Spirit, and by the power of the Holy Ghost; for as the power of the Holy Ghost led them whether to preach, or to exhort, or to pray, or to supplicate, or to sing, even so it was done." (Moroni 6: 5-9)

And here's the commentary entitled: "The Savior welcomes all who want to worship in His Church." :

"Do you feel that your friends and people in your neighborhood feel welcome at your ward’s worship services? What are you doing to make your Church meetings places that people want to return to? Ponder how you can apply the Lord’s counsel in Doctrine and Covenants 46:1–7 (see also 2 Nephi 26:24–283 Nephi 18:22–23).

You might also think about a time when you attended Church services—or a meeting of another group—for the first time. What did people do to help you feel welcome?

See also Moroni 6:5–9; “’Tis Sweet to Sing the Matchless Love,” Hymns, no. 177; “Welcome” (video), Gospel Library."

The Savior welcomes all who want to worship in His Church through the members of the Church who would choose to reach out and make everybody feel welcome. At my own ward's worship services, I do feel that my friends and people in my neighborhood feel welcome. We would often have more visitors than the members of the Church who belong to our ward. It's amazing how even though our ward is an "International" one--members are of different nationalities, and our visitors are from many different parts of the world, from what I know everybody feels welcome in my ward, the Bangkok International Ward.
