How are you intentionally moving nearer to the Lord, and what tender mercies have you noticed as a result?
"62 And again, verily I say unto you, my friends, I leave these sayings with you to ponder in your hearts, with this commandment which I give unto you, that ye shall call upon me while I am near—
63 Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
64 Whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name it shall be given unto you, that is expedient for you;" (Doctrine and Covenants 88: 62-64)
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer to thee!
E’en though it be a cross
That raiseth me.
Still all my song shall be
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer to thee!
Though like the wanderer,
The sun gone down,
Darkness be over me,
My rest a stone,
Yet in my dreams I’d be
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer to thee!
There let the way appear,
Steps unto heav’n;
All that thou sendest me,
In mercy giv’n;
Angels to beckon me
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer, my God, to thee,
Nearer to thee!" (Nearer, My God, to Thee, Hymn No. 100)

And here's the commentary entitled: “Draw near unto me.” :
"What experiences have shown you that the promises in these verses are true? What is your next step to “draw near unto” Christ? Consider making the hymn “Nearer, My God, to Thee” (Hymns, no. 100) part of your study and worship."
Some of the experiences I have that shown that the promises in verses 63-64 are these:
- As I draw near unto the Lord more than ever before by making the effort to study His words and to share what I'm learning through writing this blog daily, He has been drawing near unto me by providing me with more guidance through His Spirit.
- As I seek the Lord more, I'm able to find Him. I recently found Him in the rays of the sun. And so I love to bask in the sunlight now more than ever before.
- As I asked for His help in rising above my challenges in different aspects of life, He did provide a way for me to overcome my challenges, whether it be physical, spiritual, social or emotional, financial, professional, you name it.
- I knocked, and the Lord opened the opportunity for me to become my better version as I take my initiative, strive to find solutions to the problems I've faced, and relied on Him for Help.
