Doctrine and Covenants 90: 24;

 

What meaningful experiences in your life have shown you that the Lord truly keeps His promise—that “all things shall work together for your good”?

"24 Search diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good, if ye walk uprightly and remember the covenant wherewith ye have covenanted one with another." (Doctrine and Covenants 90: 24)

And here's the commentary entitled: “All things shall work together for [my] good.” :

"Ponder any experiences you have had that testify of the Lord’s promise in Doctrine and Covenants 90:24. Consider recording your experiences and sharing them with a family member or loved one—maybe someone who needs reassurance or encouragement. If you are still waiting for certain blessings, ponder what you can do to remain faithful as you wait to see how “all things shall work together for your good.”" 

Before I finally got married, I went through a lot of heartaches and disappointments. I did turn to the Lord, kept praying, kept believing, and came to a point when I was feeling love in abundance--I was feeling satisfied with the love in my life especially the love of the Lord and so I thought, "I'm already happy being single so if I get married, happiness in marriage will be an addition to my own happiness." And indeed all things did work together for my good because eventually I was able to meet my husband-to-be, and we got married. This is one experience I had that testified of the Lord's promise in Doctrine and Covenants 90:24. 

At the moment, I am still waiting for certain blessings. And as I remain faithful and keep doing all I can in my power for such blessings to come, I'm seeing how all things are working together for my good.
