What makes the Sabbath “blessed” to you?
"2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." (Genesis 2:2–3)
"2 And on the seventh day I, God, ended my work, and all things which I had made; and I rested on the seventh day from all my work, and all things which I had made were finished, and I, God, saw that they were good;
3 And I, God, blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because that in it I had rested from all my work which I, God, had created and made." (Moses 3:2–3)
"2 And the Gods said among themselves: On the seventh time we will end our work, which we have counseled; and we will rest on the seventh time from all our work which we have counseled.
3 And the Gods concluded upon the seventh time, because that on the seventh time they would rest from all their works which they (the Gods) counseled among themselves to form; and sanctified it. And thus were their decisions at the time that they counseled among themselves to form the heavens and the earth." (Abraham 5:2–3)
"9 And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day;
10 For verily this is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High;
11 Nevertheless thy vows shall be offered up in righteousness on all days and at all times;
12 But remember that on this, the Lord’s day, thou shalt offer thine oblations and thy sacraments unto the Most High, confessing thy sins unto thy brethren, and before the Lord.
13 And on this day thou shalt do none other thing, only let thy food be prepared with singleness of heart that thy fasting may be perfect, or, in other words, that thy joy may be full." (Doctrine and Covenants 59:9–13)
And here's the commentary entitled: "God blessed and sanctified the Sabbath day." :
"God made the Sabbath day holy, and He asks us to keep it holy. As you read Genesis 2:2–3; Moses 3:2–3; and Abraham 5:2–3, think about what makes the Sabbath “blessed” to you.

What makes the Sabbath "blessed" to me is that it gives me the opportunity to rest from all my worldly cares and focus on serving the Lord or doing His work throughout the whole day once a week. Every Sabbath Day is a reset. My physical body is able rest from doing a lot of necessary tasks which I would do every day. On Sabbath Day like today, all my focus is what the Lord wants me to do on His Day. And observing the Sabbath Day to keep it holy prepares me for all the challenges and adversities I would be facing during the coming week. I know I have the strength, the energy I need to withstand the pressures of day to day living. The Sabbath Day refreshes me. I know the Lord is watching me and providing me all the divine help I need to rise above my challenges because I'm striving to draw closer to Him and to align myself with His will. I know He knows the desires of my heart. As I do what I can and continue to rely on Him and do His will, He is granting me my desires according to His will.
