Mosiah 28: 4

What would it be like if everyone, even all mankind, is making the effort to change for the better?

"And thus did the Spirit of the Lord work upon them, for they were the very vilest of sinners. And the Lord saw fit in his infinite mercy to spare them; nevertheless they suffered much anguish of soul because of their iniquities, suffering much and fearing that they should be cast off forever." (Mosiah 28: 4)

"25 And the Lord said unto me: Marvel not that all mankind, yea, men and women, all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; yea, born of Godchanged from their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters;" (Mosiah 27: 25)

And here's the beginning part of the commentary entitled: "Through Jesus Christ, I can change for the better." :

It was obvious that Alma the Younger needed a spiritual rebirth. He and the sons of Mosiah were “the very vilest of sinners” (Mosiah 28:4). But soon after his conversion, Alma testified that conversion is essential—for everyone: “Marvel not,” he said, “that all mankind … must be born again” (Mosiah 27:25; emphasis added).

Imagine a world where everyone is taking the initiative to change for the better, in other words, to be born again. When you were born into this world and received your physical body, you were pure, innocent, and not capable of committing any sin until you reached the age of accountability (8 years old). Spiritually speaking, being born again is returning to that state of being pure again like a little baby. Little babies are just lovable because they are pure. They're always happy. Little things make them smile. They easily let go of anything that made them cry. They would be smiling already even when their cheeks are still wet with tears. How easier it is to love one another and how happier our world will be if everyone is striving to be born again and be more childlike as the Lord admonished us to be!
